The Lightning Network makes Bitcoin transactions faster and cheaper, which could be a big help in Africa where remittance costs are high and banking access is low.
However, there are challenges:
Poor internet in rural areas
Low Bitcoin awareness
Regulatory uncertainty
Do you think Africa can overcome these and see wide Lightning Network use by 2030?
That's five years from now and I don't think that is possible because some Africa countries are not crypto friendly countries. The economy challenge in Africa makes it difficult for citizens to meet up with their basic needs. They wouldn't care about bitcoin because they need money to invest and pay for their internet. Uninterrupted power supply is another challenge because they don't have 24hrs power supply.
Creating LN channel might be a big challenge to them because of lack of knowledge. Do they have the awareness of bitcoin.
