I think PSG's golden era is over. After winning the Champions League last season, they looked unstoppable. But in the FIFA Club World Cup, they unexpectedly lost two matches. The most surprising of them was the final match against Chelsea.
Yesterday's match was also unexpected. Although the good news is that PSG finally won, they had to fight hard for that victory. I thought PSG would get an easy win and start the season great. But they didn't start great and won against Tottenham. Tottenham played great, but they couldn't win the match in penalties.
The match was a really tough and interesting one. Because I was not expecting that PSG would be the one to win over Tottenham after receiving too much pressure right from the beginning of the matches. But at the end of the matches, they were able to win and dominate the match as Tottenham failed to win the penalty, but they really tried a lot, as they were able to secure the 2 goals early in the second half. If they had kept their lead maintained, I don’t think PSG would have had the equalizer in the extra minutes of the game.

PSG performances have not been that strong to me again since the day they played against Chelsea in the Club World Cup, and Chelsea funded the game to be easy to win. Since then, I lost hope for them, and that’s why even in yesterday’s match, a lot of people didn’t have hope for them, but they were lucky they didn’t miss any penalties. If not, they could only dominate the possession, but the lack of consistency is what affected Tottenham; otherwise, they were supposed to win the match.
