This attitude of players is becoming a new trend that clubs now have a say over players making decisions to leave their clubs even when they are under a contract. A similar situation with Alexander Isak with Newcastle United, Viktor Gyökeres situation was totally different, Newcastle has done nothing wrong to Isak and yet he is forcing a move.
While I may not want to talk more about the whole Gernacho drama though I'm a Chelsea fan, Isak decision to leave is understandable. A player has right to pick when it is the best time for him to leave a club just like a club may choose to offload a player even when they are not ready to leave.
Isak has done a lot for the team and no doubt they club needs him to stay but if he decides to move away then is still good, this is not the first time Liverpool has shown interest but now he is ready to move so why hold him?
Take the cash and go get a replacement, Chelsea has face similar situation when Eden Hazard left to Real Madrid but although this is more difficult selling their star man to a rival team in the league, sorry but they just can't hold a player against his wish.
