That was a nice come back by PSG in the UEFA Super Cup against Tottenham.
It looked like the London team had everything under control but wasted it all in the last 10 minutes of the regular time.
Still, I'm not sure if PSG should see this game as a success. After losing the FIFA Club World Cup final to Chelsea 3-0, they now really struggled and almost lost to a team that ended up 17th in the Premier League last season. I expected this game to go very different.
But maybe it's just due to PSG players being in a holiday mode, as I don' think they have been playing any friendlies after the FCWC final.
Yesterday, I was too upset with the final result of that Paris Saint Germaine vs Tottenham UEFA Super Cup final not because I initially predicted that Tottenham Hotspur will win the game before kickoff but because the London club were still 2 goals up six minutes away from the end of the normal time. Conceding two goals in such short period was too embarrassing for the UEFA Europa League winners.
Lady season, we all saw how Tottenham Hotspur struggled in the English Premier League and finished just one position above the relegation zone only to save their season by winning an European trophy. This season, their performance yesterday I think sends a strong message to the new coach Thomas Frank that he has a lot of work to do to improve the team and put out a better performance this season
