Yep, Real Madrid looks stronger with some new players and the new coach (Xabi Alonso). Sure, there is no guarantee to win the La Liga trophy or Copa Del Rey Trophy. I even assume Xabi and some Real Madrid players are still adapting with their new game style. So, it won't be easy to win all the matches consistently. Even, according to the pre-season matches, Real Madrid defense looked still need some improvement and a better teamwork.
Real Madrid still doesn't seem strong enough. They certainly played well in the pre-season match, but that performance won't be enough to win any title. The new players and the new coach haven't yet adapted to the team and haven't started their natural performance. Although consistency will be a bit difficult for them at the beginning, when they can adapt to the team, they will definitely do well. There is no guarantee of winning any kind of title yet, consistency is needed to win the title, which is not guaranteed with any team. Real Madrid still has more to work on and Xabi Alonso has to adapt to his team and the players.
There's no proof yet, as preseason results can't be used as a benchmark for measuring a team's strength.
Xabi Alonso still has a lot of potential, and many people have differing opinions on that. Some are skeptical and others are optimistic. But personally, I think we should wait until the competition gets underway and see the results of the Real Madrid team he's built.

Overall, Xabi Alonso is a quality coach, but coaching Real Madrid is a bit different because the pressure can negatively impact Xabi Alonso's mentality, especially as he's a young coach.
It baffle me when some football fans uses the pre season matches to measure the strengths of Real Madrid. Moreover Real Madrid performance in the Pre season matches were excellent considering the numbers of goals their netted. To be honest I was a little bit skeptical about Xabi Alonso if he can fill the big shoe as Real Madrid coach due to the mounting pressure from fans that wants a quick change and improvements in the team. I bet that was why he was hired to replace Carlos Ancelotti to revamp and to strengthen the weak Real Madrid team which I am certain that Xabi Alonso has been working hard to see done. Perhaps we have also been seeing great improvements on the team and also the defense line has been  strengthen which was also hindering the performance of the team. With the relevant new signings by xabi Alonso, I am optimistic that Real Madrid will have a brighter future and will compete effectively for the LaLiga trophy.
