Because of economic downturn in the world, most people have become jack of all trades and master of non. learning skills and not getting a mastery of them because they are testing waters on which of them will eventually pay the bills. I have a friend who during her spare time learnt soap making, baking, sewing yet she's not making money off these skills.
There is no need to jump from one skill to another because it will definitely take one nowhere. It is better to just focus on one skill, learn it well, and generate money from it.
At this point, one can think of planning to pursue another skill. It doesn't matter how many skills one chooses to learn, but the most important thing is to achieve goals from these skills. One of the reasons for this is that people don't understand what they want, and when they reach the tougher stage of learning a skill, some people just give up and look for something else to pursue, and they still end up in the same situation.
