Inter Milan were indeed lucky to qualify for the next champions league, I think one of the issues the team had last season had to do with strategic planning on the side of the coach, they were on the verge of doing a treble but couldn't even secure one trophy at the end of the day, so for me I think they were rather lucky to have secured a place in next season's champions League but I don't think they wouldn't be as lucky as they were last season seeing that the coach has left the team as well as some players too.
In pre-season matches, Inter Milan failed to deliver their best performance. They even had to win on penalties against Monza. The new Inter coach has a lot of work to do. This indicates that Inter's players have yet to fully adapt to their coach strategy. If this situation isn't solved soon, they could face difficulties in the UCL group stage. We can't even think about to reach final with their current form. Even qualifying for the group stage would be a good thing. Well, we will see in the next week after season start.
