Do to the unhappy season a lot of the big clubs had made players from there team who was supposed to perform well to be marked as a player who isn't unrecognized to have a chance for the Ballon d'Or, I have acknowledged the performance of Dembele and he is resourceful but they might also want to see his efforts again this season to determine his quality over those other players, so actually wining the champions League again could make his Ballon d'Or possible because he would definitely be rated high, but what I'm we are going to see new players that would outshine him, his Ballon d'Or chances will not be as strong as it is now.
Getting nominated for the Ballon d'Or Award is a personal performance and not a team performance, but some players who performed well individually weren't nominated for the Ballon d'Or Award, while some players who didn't perform well individually were nominated for the Ballon d'Or Award, which makes me wonder the criteria they use in nominating players for the Ballon d'Or Award. If the Ballon d'Or Award panellists want to assess Dembele's performance and know if he deserves to win the Ballon d'Or Award, they will use Dembele's last season's performance for PSG in all competitions to determine if he's the right player to win this year's Ballon d'Or Award and not Dembele's last season's and the next season's performance for PSG.
I no is not by team performance they are being nominated but however any performance a player got is from the contribution of the team because without them there is no how those performance will be brought to light, let's take a striker for instance, without the help of there fellow players who would give him the passes or assist there is no how they would be seen as a good player so actually that was why a club contribute to the performance of the player. If they consider him that way he might become the winner because even on the few seasons ago he has a good records and I'm sure he would also have it this season.
