I think if Al Nasr is aiming to win the Saudi Arabian League, I don't think they should relax too much right now. Because if they relax too much right now, I think Al Nasr will have a hard time winning the Saudi Arabian League again. So, with that in mind, I think Al Nasr needs to be more aggressive in bringing in players who can plug all the gaps they have. Because, as we know, Al Nasr is still weak in defense, and this must be fixed immediately if they don't want to end up like last season.
How you can assume Al Nassr relax too much? The changed the coach, they bought some star players. This indicates that they are very serious to build the team to be stronger. They are impossible to relax, they didn't win any competition recently. A team only can relax when they already achieved their goals, but Al Nassr achieved nothing in the last few seasons.
I agree that they still have weak defense. They have no enough quality players, especially for the right back and left back position. Meanwhile for the center backs, they already have 3 strong players. So, I am sure Al Nassr still has the intention to sign more defenders.
But if Al Nasr doesn't have enough money to get new players with good quality, I think they should try to trust local players there and select them so they can see who the good players are. Because I think that's the only way Al Nasr can possibly do if they don't have enough money. But Al Nasr doesn't seem to be short of money at the moment, because of course they are a very rich team.
Sometimes, it isn't always about the money but it depends on the availability of players on the market and their interest. Al Nassr may try to sign more defenders, unfortunately not many top right backs or left backs have the intention to leave their current teams. In this condition, Al Nassr has no chance to sign them. Well, I see the quality of local players isn't quite convincing, especially for the defenders. The challenge is, there is a limit of maximum foreign players in Saudi teams.
