The defenders they have failed to perform well. On paper, Mohamed Simakan and Aymeric Laporte are very good players, but it was their poor form which cost Al Nassr a number of matches during the last season. The team management should also be blamed. Rather than getting 1-2 good defenders in the squad, they were focusing on the forwards, needlessly spending money on Jhon Durán and Kingsley Coman. And this was one of the reasons for the frictions between Ronaldo and the management.

Yes, I also really don't understand why Al Nasr's management is so focused on acquiring forwards rather than defenders. Whereas, the players they need right now aren't forwards, but defenders. Because everyone who watches the Saudi Arabian League, I'm sure the majority of them know that Al Nasr's current problem is its defense. So they should be aware of this and listen to Ronaldo's suggestions. Because even though Ronaldo is a player and not a coach, he has a lot of experience, and I'm sure his thinking is like a coach's, if not smarter. So with this in mind, I think Al Nasr should listen to all of Ronaldo's suggestions. Because it will certainly have a very positive impact on the team. But even so, I hope Al Nasr can perform well in the coming season. Because if Al Nassr performs poorly again, I think it will make the Saudi Arabian League less interesting. Because if next season only Al Ittihad and Al Hilal dominate the league, I think that will be really boring.
