This is their roster for the upcoming season, 2025-2026.
https://www.espn.com/nba/team/roster/_/name/por/portland-trail-blazersSo it looks like it will not be as competitive as other teams in the West. It's good that they take Dame back and for sure that Dame is happy as he might retire to the City that draft him and where he really become a good player. But to be able to bring this roster to at least in the playoff? It might be a tall order as others have said already, Dame might be in the stage that his body is deteriorating. Although there is some good names in the list, but again, the West is going to be a very competitive conference with everyone improving their line-up.
That looks like a lottery team. With this roster they won't even match last season's 36 wins. If they manage to win 30 games they'll be lucky. Also let's not forget that Lillard won't be playing the whole season.
We can't know what will happen next season. They could make several other trades. Lillard will be much older and after all these injuries, he won't be able to carry the team even if he wants to. So unless a miracle happens, the Trail Blazers' rebuild will take quite a long time.
Exactly looks like this team cannot go anywhere especially that Lillard which could possibly lead them is out on their roster.
But let see what's going to happen since somehow there are surprises that will happen. Who knows Blazers would perform more better this season, But this team need a rebuild and they should do more efforts to recruit more stars and well known good players on the league so that at least they became more competitive team.
