Yeah, I totally agree with you on that... TON is definitely not in the "shitcoin" category — it's a proper L1 with strong infrastructure, backed by the Telegram ecosystem, which gives it a unique edge compared to many other altcoins that rely purely on hype. The issue, like you mentioned, is the flood of low-quality farming projects and meme tokens that piggyback on TON’s name — that tends to scare off retail investors who don’t look deeper into the fundamentals.
TON needs now is ,,quality partnerships and utility expansion,,. The tech is solid, but if they keep repeating superficial collaborations, it won’t move the needle long term. If they can secure real DeFi or payments integrations tied to Telegram’s ecosystem, then TON could easily push to new highs.
Right now, I’d say it’s one of the more promising altcoins in the mid-cap space...
There are lots of folks who would still classify it under the shitty coins category infact there are folks who thinks any coin asides Bitcoin is shitty but then I don't judge all coin as such yes Bitcoin is the greatest of all and none comes close to it but I strongly believe that the open network coin has lots of potential and just like strong layer 1 coins like ETH and SOL, TON would do well in numbers in the future so I don't see anything bad in holding some of it too, it's a different thing all together from most Shitty memecoins. Also, if one can't use their personal funds to buy it Tonstation is another opportunity whereby users can play games earn rewards and sell or convert them for TON to hold for the future.
