After the Super Cup ended at full time without a winner, I was expecting PSG and Tottenham Hotspur to settle their differences in extra time, but I was surprised when they went straight to a penalty shootout without playing extra time. Maybe UEFA knows best why PSG and Tottenham Hotspur didn't play extra time in the Super Cup.
That's simply because UEFA made moderation to the rules. Extra time carries its own stress and often makes the players to be more fatigued. They changed the rules this season regarding extra time. No more extra time in UEFA competitions, supposed there's an all time draw after two legs in the the knockout stages, they will go straight to penalties.
