Even though there may be some things that can be a negative effect, but precisely with the budget that we set from the beginning it can be more able to minimize our gambling with a note that we are disciplined to carry out this.

I always apply this where I always set a nominal for my gambling if it has reached the specified limit then no matter what I will stop if it has run out. So in the end this has become a reminder from the start for yourself to be able to manage existing finances while gambling.

This can be an alternative to minimize us so that in the end we are more awake to control the gambling activities carried out but once again this will be effective if we are disciplined to ourselves and force ourselves to remain in good control. If we are not disciplined with what we have planned from the beginning then in the end, no matter how the strategy to minimize gambling is useless because this goes back to the gambler himself.

If you initially treat gambling as entertainment, and not as a way to make money, then the probability that you will leave much more money in the game than you expected is less. And when we start playing for money, building complex strategies for winning  of course, this can work, but then there is a high probability in case of loss to try to win back everything invested, and then the stakes begin to rise, which can lead to even greater losses. A fixed amount for the game and a more relaxed attitude is the secret of self-control.
So, the point you want to make here is whether gambling is for fun or for money, because what I see is that when we make this a situation where you are only chasing wins, it not only makes us overly ambitious in gambling, but it also makes us lose control when we lose because we try to increase our bets to recoup our losses, and indirectly, this also triggers an addiction that is very difficult to avoid.

Personally, I still view this as a form of entertainment for myself. What you mentioned might be true for some gamblers when they spend more money, but ultimately, it comes down to each individual’s strategy. I’ve emphasized that there are limits to this, and we shouldn’t try to exceed those limits.
I still feel that the money spent on gambling ultimately comes back to the gambler themselves in terms of attitude and character, regardless of the purpose seen in gambling (for fun or to make money), if one cannot control oneself, it’s the same thing. So it depends on the gambler’s approach, and I prefer to see it as a form of entertainment but not necessarily spend more money because I know my limit for spending money on gambling each month, and that limit must not be exceeded under any circumstances.
