you are just doing numbers gymnastics by comparing how much a set amount of fiat could get you then vs now to say 0.25

BTC. but 1 bitcoin is always going to be 1 bitcoin, what really changes is the fiat value.
It is not numbers gymnastics, it is what the author meant with his post and it continues to be true. The old 1 BTC is now the 0.25 BTC and soon it will be 0.1 that is hard to own and soon after 0.01 will be very hard to own.
