Gyokeres is a player that many expectations are expected from him and that makes it very observant to everyone when he performs less in any game. This may be his first season and first game in the Premier League which was suppose to be overlooked for him, but he’s blamed by many already that he’s a poor player that can not do well in the premier league. Gyokeres should be giving more time in my own opinion, because I feel he’ll do better with time and have to first understand the pattern of the game before we can rate him again. He will not have a poor stay in this club but he will continue to develop overtime.
As a center-forward, his failure to score goals would naturally be considered a bad. But as you said, this is his first season in the Premier League and he needs time to adapt to a new atmosphere and a different style of play. Some players need months to find their best form with their new team - others don't need that long and it also depends on the team's playing strategy.
Viktor Gyökeres has a good goal-scoring record with Sporting - not only that, but he also provides assists. With Arsenal, Viktor Gyökeres will need to work extra hard to earn the fans' respect. If Viktor Gyökeres goes a long stretch without scoring, his morale will down and I'm sure his best form won't be easy to achieve.
