Middlesex and Warwickshire faced each other in Group B of One Day Cup where Middlesex won the game by a 28 runs margin. Middlesex opened with Joe and Joshua with a 12 runs partnership however the start was very cold but middle order players had contributed enough runs to make a big target. Wickets were knocked out at short intervals but the middle order player Ben and opener Joshua were in great form hitting boundaries over boundaries. Ben was about to score fifty but unfortunately lost wicket at 48 runs then final order players were eliminated with no great runs. This innings came to an end at 217 runs losing all wickets with 2 overs left behind. Warwickshire opened with 35 runs partnership the losing wickets at short intervals make them struggle in next overs. The game was going great they could win this game but loss of early wickets make them los this game. The top and middle order players scored great runs unfortunately losing all wickets at 189 runs so they lost this game by 28 runs.
Middlesex won by 28 runs because of strong effort from their middle order batsmen. With slow start and losing wickets mostly players but Ben and Joshua scored quickly and helped their team reach total of 217 runs. Otherside Warwickshire performance was bad because they lost wickets too early. But their top and middle players scored some runs they could not handle pressure and their entire team was out for 189 runs. Means that team ability to bounce back from setbacks like Middlesex middle order did can be good to winning.
In Group B, Strongest team is YOR and they lost only one game and won 4 games out of 5. This game was played between MID and WAR teams on Rugby School Ground. In start of game, MID team won toss and they got opponent to choose fielding or batting first and they chose batting first. MID team runs was very small in target and they set 217 runs in 50 overs by losing all wickets. Caries played good in opening of line and he made 43 runs in 56 balls and hitted six 4s. Ben and Jack also batted well after lost wicket of Caires, Ben made 48 runs and Jack scored 38 runs. WAR bowlers showed good help in bowling but in batting line, all wickets were got out and they chased down only 189 runs and lost game by 28 runs. Jake deserved player of America award because he took down 5 wickets in 10 overs.
