I had a bet on this game, I actually did take PSG for a first half result hoping that, it would be an easy outcome for them but nope, after looking at the lineups with most of its first team players kept as substitute, I knew the game was going to come by some difficult start. Nantes surely didn’t make it easy for them and were able to coordinates their attacks good. They pushed forward with several counters but, weren’t able to make anyone count. The center back defense line for PSG was really weak, they need to look into that.
Luis Enrique’s second half substitute made all the difference in this game, bringing on the big names and the goal was given, the press was on and they managed to secure their 3 points.
It seems like this season we are going to see some if not many of the top side starting up at a very slow pace because I don't seem to understand what happened to PSG in this encounter against Nantes, these days the way they play against teams we expect them to beat right from the first half we see them struggling to even get a goal, like what happened in the Super Cup against Spurs and now this very game, hmm I wish there was a better explanation to this weak form. In as much as Enrique made the sub, there should have been a goal in the first half because chances went flying but it wasn't like the champions are not up to speed in this encounter, Nantes did their best to hold them to a draw in the first half which I never saw coming. PSG were lucky things did not turn against them like in the case of Marseille, just expect the next game won't be as dull as this encounter.
