some said that it’s because the philippines is a poor country and that’s why they get addicted easily but is it possible that most gamblers who got addicted are old people past retirement and have nothing else to do anymore?
That's not true, as a matter of fact most gambling addict are even teenagers and Middle aged persons although there could be some old aged people who got addicted since they don't have much to do anymore but they are few of them but majority are the youth who are jobless or who out of greed want to use gambling to make a Futune. I have don my research about the age bracket of people who get addicted and I discovered it is the youth from 18 to 35 years has the highest population of gambling addict while the rest age from 40 to 80 are less addictive but are Gamblers.
Those teens and middle-aged people are mostly affected because they know how to use phones or PCs. Those old people, though I am not generalizing, are not that well versed in using phones or PCs. Though you can see old people using phones, mostly they are just doomscrolling on social media and not gambling, and they can easily control themselves on stuff like that.
One of the reasons that they easily got addicted is because they are bored, and they think that gambling is a pastime and fun. Mostly, I saw on the news that they started depositing a minimum amount and just wanted to kill some time or relax after their long hours of work, but then that's when the horror started.
