Chicago is no longer majority white (European) and white people have the weakest in-group preference among all races.
But it's possible the crowd was filled predominantly with muslims, but it's also possible that people just like Chimaev for his fighting style etc.
As I see statistics, the majority of population are still white but how many of them are Europeans, I have no idea about that. I didn't know if there were so many Muslims in Chicago. When Belal Muhammed (I really forgot his name and typed this text in google:
UFC remember the name and the result was
Belal Muhammed) said that Chicago was his city, I thought he was joking but that seems to be truth

Anyhow, Khamzat finally got his belt. You can't blame him for utilising his wrestling to win rounds, finishing a strong and experienced guy like DDP is not an easy task.
DDP looked a bit like a helpless child, but if he focuses on wrestling and takedown defense, maybe he will have a chance if they ever fight again. He did manage to neutralise Chim at the end of the 5th round, even reversed a position and attempted a rear choke, but with no success.
It would be fun to see Chimaev defending the belt against someone with a good ground game. Right now, I think De Ridder would be a perfect match. Sadly, Bo Nickal is out of the picture for the foreseeable future, but maybe he'll bounce back.
I can't really blame the guy, I would do the same to win the belt, I would utilize my strength to win the belt in any way. His strength is wrestling and he did it very well. The fight was boring but the win matters the most in the end but truth be told, if he fights like this in his upcoming fights, he will be very hated.
I wonder, will we see Khamzat VS DDP? I think that Dana won't make that fight because he hates DDP and won't give him an immediate rematch. Who is the next, what do you guys think?
^ Judging from what we saw with Chim and DDP, I don't think there's gonna he a 'perfect match' for Chim. The guy is gonna dominate 185. Now in my head I'm thinking if there's any chance he'll move up to 205. Lol. Really thought DDP was gonna put up a good fight but no... And the bookies knew.

If Pereira beats Ankalaev, there is no way to see Khamzat VS Pereira because Pereira is a superstar, a money making machine and Dana White doesn't want to lose him, it will be one of the worst matchup for Pereira because Khamzat's wrestling will be more nightmare for him than it was for Dricus Du Plesis.
