I think Rodrygo will stay at Real Madrid even though he will likely only be a substitute in the future, that's because Man City still hasn't found a clear point regarding Savinho agreement with Tottenham and as far as I know Man City is currently more focused on recruiting Donnarumma, with the transfer window closing soon, it means they don't have enough time to recruit both of them.
I do not support Rodrygo to remain at Real Madrid this season because it is very clear that he will not be having enough playing time in the team as the coach is not including him in his plans for the team. If Manchester City is focused on bringing Donnarumma to the team the best thing if for him to look for another team that will sign him while Real Madrid will reduce the amount placed on him if they want him to be sold out.

The issue now stems from the release clause because when you say he is a pretty good player, I would agree, and even when he is given playing time, he often gains momentum and becomes a game-changer. However, his performance is not always consistent because at times he struggles and cannot do much, but overall, he is still very good.

If it’s possible for him to leave, then he should look for an alternative club that can give him more playing time. However, the release clause is quite expensive, which makes the situation difficult because Madrid’s demands are too high to meet.
However, if he stays for at least one more season, I would appreciate it because, regardless of whether he can contribute much to the lineup, especially since Xabi prefers to start Brahim or Arda Guller—he can serve as a secret weapon as a super sub, and this has proven effective for Rodrygo in the last few matches he’s played.
