Because basically, Simeone has been coach at Atletico Madrid for 13 years. So certainly the strategic pattern implemented by Simeone at Atletico Madrid is very closely related. So with this, Atletico Madrid should try a new coach, who knows with a new coach ATM can become champions. But it seems Atletico Madrid management does not want the hassle, that's why they keep Simeone. Because they believe Simeone is still a worthy coach at Atletico Madrid. So, given this, I don't know what will happen if Atletico continues to retain Simeone for another decade. Perhaps Atletico will be the team that consistently finishes in third place in La Liga.
Simeone is not the only one that have stayed in a club for more than a decade but what kept those coaches there was their good performance and Simeone has equally done that but in the past. Honestly, i was very disappointed with what Atletico Madrid played against Espanyol, the result I saw was not what I expected, despite Espanyol are the hosting of the game, I expected a victory from Atletico Madrid because they are among the strongest teams in the league which are expected a win from them. Espanyol did a very wonderful job by proving me wrong by winning their first match of the season at their own home. It was a big win for them and equally a very starting point
