Interesting news, or rather leaks: Liverpool have set a deadline for Isak's transfer at the end of next week. If the player doesn't move, they "can't wait for him forever" and will abandon the potential transfer.
I don't understand what kind of crap is this? What are Liverpool waiting for? For Isak to start killing Newcastle's management or what? He's already on strike. Newcastle seem to have made their position crystal clear: 150 million or no deal.
Maybe these leaks are the latest work of the fucked up agent Isak. If not, then Liverpool are being sloppy.
Despite Isak’s strong interest in a move to Liverpool and his desire which he has shown by protesting and going on strike against his parent club Newcastle United still need to reach an agreement with Liverpool before a deal can happen so they have to wait for Newcastle. I think Newcastle United are seeking a replacement before agreeing to a deal that will see Isak leave the club.
Honestly, these transfer sagas always get messy when a player starts forcing a move. Isak clearly wants Liverpool, and that’s not a surprise — bigger club, Champions League, bigger spotlight. But Newcastle are in no rush, and they’re right to hold out until they secure a replacement. Losing your main striker without a plan B would be suicidal, especially before the season kicks in.
From Liverpool’s perspective, this could be a perfect signing — Isak fits Klopp’s (or rather Amorim’s now) system with pace, pressing, and finishing ability. But the more Newcastle drags it out, the higher the chances the deal falls through or gets delayed until the very last days of the window.
In my opinion, if Isak really pushes hard, the deal will eventually happen, because unhappy strikers rarely deliver. Newcastle will cash in, Liverpool will get their man, but the price could get inflated. I’d say it’s 70/30 in favor of him joining Liverpool this summer.
