In this first match, it was quite clear that Atletico Madrid defenders were not prepared to handle the pressure from the opposition. Overall, the attacking players performed well, but in the second half, ATM squandered several excellent scoring opportunities. Had those chances been converted, ATM should have come away with 3 goals. This defeat is somewhat embarrassing, but I can understand it, as it's still early in the season. I continue to trust that Simeone's team will finish the season just as strongly as they did last year.
