It's easy for Chelsea to play a team in other leagues than teams in EPL. I thought that Chelsea will start this season in a grand style and win three consecutive matches but they failed to win their first match. From the look at their performance yesterday, Maresca needs to work more on the team to stable their performance. Let it not be that they will be very strong in one match and become weak in three to four matches.

The games at the start of the season is used mostly to judge most of the teams on how their performance is going to be during the league but I don’t see it as the basis of judging the performance of any team so easily, I see the game for them to prepare more on how they’re going to be performing going forward because every team wants to keep developing and make the necessary correction to make their long season better and prosperous than before. Chelsea just needs to put in some tactical touches to their mode of play and they would do better in their coming games.

Premier league will always bring out your actual essence and strength as a player, coach or team. The competition in Premier league, the attention and even the fan base is one which put some level of pressure on everyone to be at their best such that striving in the premier league will be for the well deserved and not the average, Chelsea is to me still in their recovery/build up phase, so we can only follow them as they perform and drop every expectations.

I understand your point but up till now, Chelsea is still not in that build up phase like they use to, they’ve performed better in the past season and this season was suppose to be the one that they’ll just execute well what they’ve prepared for before the start of this season. Premier league is really a tough game, so we can’t even come to a decision that any of this teams will play poorly throughout the season or not, we will just keep watching as the season advances.
