I don't get what the OP message is? Is he questioning Bitcoin maximalist? or just explaining it to us? But obviously, this is a Bitcoin forum so perhaps majority here are Bitcoin maximalist in every sense.

But there are certain things it can't accomplish that some alt can
Which is good Imo because like I said I love it being simple; Decentralized and secured.
Although one argument against it is that we don't welcome innovation.
Is not that we don't welcome innovation. We are against any supposed upgrade that's going to affect Bitcoin primary ethos
Which many altcoins sacrificed to perform what Bitcoin can't.
