Lately, I’ve started noticing that on various Bitcoin-related platforms, advertising is dominated almost entirely by gambling businesses. Other types of advertising have almost disappeared.
Gambling business supports the use of cryptocurrencies without any glitches, while you can conveniently make use of bitcoin to gamble, the next most sorted for after the gambling platforms are the exchanges, which we see the way they were also being advertised on this forum, because these platforms see bitcoin as a key platform they can advertise their services and get across their users.
So does this mean that today Bitcoin has become primarily a tool for gambling and betting?
What about we considering for gambling before now, has there been any abuse on it and the use of fiat currency to gamble, if so, then we should not see ourself as crypto or bitcoin holders being for the purpose of gambling, just that majority of bitcoin holders could probably be fans of gambling.
This really distorts the picture and makes it harder to understand whether Bitcoin itself has truly become mainly a gambling instrument at this stage.
It doesn't, because the gambling platforms does not support the use of bitcoin only, there are other crypto and even fiat.
Perhaps it would make sense to create a dedicated section called Gambling (Altcoins) inside the “Alternate Cryptocurrencies” forum?
Do you remember that even the gambling platforms does not only uses bitcoin as their preferred and most supported currency, other cryptocurrencies are also allowed, so this is not a thing of bitcoin being the major targets for use in gambling.
