The pre-season games have never been predictive of their performance during the season. That is why sometimes I like to place bets against the big teams when they have these pre-season tests. It has paid off well a couple of times for me. They often don't field their best eleven players or rotate like hell, or the players are not willing to go for it at 100% because they don't want to risk injuries in meaningless games. Pre-season games are worthless if you want to use them as your information to make predictions for the serious games.
You can't adjudge a team or rate a team by their performance in a preseason tour because such matches are not played with utmost seriousness as a result of their importance, nevertheless the Leverkusen side are far more sophisticated and well equipped in terms of player ratings and perhaps this is a major factor that could also determine the outcome or the result of the match.
The Bundesliga season is almost here, and Bayer Leverkusen is one of the teams that had the title in mind at the start of the season. I wonder if the Dutch manager who replaced Spanish manager Xabi after his departure will be able to live up to the same expectations? They've suffered a setback against Flamengo's youth academy. The Bundesliga is a much tougher place. If you want to compete with Bayern Munich, you have to win every match. Erik ten Hag will undoubtedly be the most anticipated manager in this year's Bundesliga.
