In 2019, United Kingdom implemented a whistle to whistle ban on gambling advertising. Basically no gambling ads can be shown 5 minutes and 5 minutes after a sporting event to avoid kids and or other vulnerable people to see gambling ads when watching a big sporting match. As a gambler, what would you have felt about this? Especially if you were betting on the very same sporting match? Do you think that this was effective in reducing gambling rate in the country?
This is fine, they want to let the kids and minors to get out of the event or television first for them to avoid these kinds of ads. It's a good initiative in the UK if this is the kind of law that they have to protect the young ones. But, they're not compromising the potential of what the government can earn from gambling there. So, if the rate is reduced showing the numbers of gambling addiction, this could be done to our country and see how the masses will respond to this because it's a very hot take and issue that we have recently from online gambling.
