In 2019, United Kingdom implemented a whistle to whistle ban on gambling advertising. Basically no gambling ads can be shown 5 minutes and 5 minutes after a sporting event to avoid kids and or other vulnerable people to see gambling ads when watching a big sporting match. As a gambler, what would you have felt about this? Especially if you were betting on the very same sporting match? Do you think that this was effective in reducing gambling rate in the country?

They can still see it right? So I don't think that it's very effective method to curb out gambling advertising. The best way is to really ban it totally so that it won't affect the kids and other minor. But United Kingdom is one country that really love it's sports so I don't know if there will be a way to stop it totally. I mean even the Queen appeared in the ads for the Olympics with James Bond (Daniel Craig), so that's how obsessed the country is as far as sports.

And then obviously the influence of the environment. Maybe at home the father watches sports more often and then bet on it and the child from the beginning heard it. So when he grows up, in turn he become like his father betting on live games.
