I don't think they played well. They won and got the 3 points, which is what matters. But they're not sending out good signals for the future. Osasuna didn't pose any threat to them. Despite that, they couldn't score in the game. If it weren't for the penalty, they might not have scored at all. Osasuna defender gifted them the penalty and the 3 points with a simple defensive mistake. Why would you slide tackle to Mbappe when there were no danger in the box?
Honestly Madrid are not playing like the Madrid that always dominate the champions league and the la Liga, is like they are building up the team, take a look at how poor Osasuna was in that encounter and yet Madrid find it difficult to get a goals even the first two shots on target came from the CB Militao and Huijsen and it got me asking what happened to the wingers and the striker, what are they doing?
Like you said about the penalty, it wasn't called for, wonder why the defender was that desperate to make a silly tackle that wasn't clear in contact with the ball, if not for the penalty Madrid would have been going home with 1pt. Another thing I noticed is that the Bernabéu is no longer a fortress where opponent find it difficult to get a win not even a draw, especially the smaller teams and the goals won't be just one or two. I think ever since Arsenal shut them up things become bad for them, what are they not doing right?🤔
