I hope it turns out as you say, and Bayer Leverkusen remains in the title race for a long time. We need such a race in the German league. Watching the German league wasn't fun in the years Bayern Munich won the league single-handedly, but the year Bayer Leverkusen won the championship was truly a joy to watch. I hope they do the same thing with their new manager.
You made interesting points mate. Leverkusen under Xavi Alonso was a terror to Bayern Munich and that made the Germans bundesliga once again interesting to watch as it was no longer a one man show as it was for many seasons. So if Leverkusen has to lose form this season and give a lower performance from what they gave last season then the bundesliga will be back to it's boring one man show league again, and this isn't what we wish to watch this season.

But last season, Bayern won the title even with Leverkusen being managed by Xabi Alonso, which means that Xabi Alonso was lucky to have won the Bundesliga title. I believe that if he had stayed at Leverkusen this season, we would see him losing again and Bayern becoming champions again. Now, he's at Real Madrid, and he's not managing to make Real Madrid play well and get good results.

The truth is that Bayern's management has always been very competent when it comes to maintaining a good squad. Even if a new coach arrives, Bayern remains strong and without major changes. That's why Bayern dominates the Bundesliga; the management thinks long-term.

leverkusen signed Loïc Badé

Loïc Badé to Bayer Leverkusen, here we go! Deal sealed for €29m plus €4m add-ons.

Leverkusen have booked medical for both Badé and Claudio Echeverri in the next 24h.

New defender for Erik ten Hag, as Badé leaves Sevilla.

Erik ten Hag is making changes to the roster. Every team he goes to, he always makes a lot of changes to the roster before the season even starts. I wonder how this will end. I hope the German media doesn't come down hard on him.
