The most important factor to consider when starting to build a business is the target audience. You have to think of who would you want to cater to. Who are the communities that you may profit off of. Like for example if there is a school near you, you should know that students would be your target audience. You should start a business where students can buy materials from or a place they can study or even hang out around. I believe that if you studied your target audience, the first step of your business is already successful enough.

Steps for starting a business that could work:

1. Decide what field you are going to get into, and do your homework about the business and the field as a whole.
2. Prepare the budget for the business after calculating all the expenses, including rent, equipment, products, salaries if you are employing others, etc.
3. Find a suitable place for your business, a place where you know the business will run well, and your target audience is found there. You can't open a stationery store outside a hospital and expect to do good business, but a medical store would be a suitable choice.
4. Rent or buy the place, buy the equipment and the products you will sell, set up your business, and start selling.
5. Run promotions and giveaways to attract new customers to your business. It's a very necessary step for new businesses until they become recognized, and even after you are recognized, promotional offers and campaigns will still be needed to keep everything going.

If you follow these steps properly, your business will most probably work. Smiley
