To be a disciplined gambler you should have a matured mind, see those sounds are things that makes the game fun, if possible get an ear plugs to block it out if you can't handle it, don't underestimate the power of sounds on your psychology.
You mean not to hear the sound of the slot machine or the casino games? I enjoy gambling with the sounds most of the time that I am gambling. Even if my device is having low volume, I slightly increase the volume so that I can hear the sound of the games. That does not make I am an addict or  not disciplined but it is what I love. I can not be playing the games without the sound, I will not enjoy it. This is not about mean been kiddy or not. It is not about id.
No sound, no fun in the casino games. It makes it thrilling whenever the machine have to pass sound signals that you are ready to begin playing or game outcome signal with the sounds.

I also enjoy sounds on playing the video game especially football. I enjoy the noisy background from fans especially those hailing when  you have hold the ball stance heading to the goal post. And most thrilling when you scores the goal and you hear the fans echoing with the tunes of celebrations.

The sound is literally part of the features that makes you enjoy the game. There is no addiction influence attached. Moreover gamblers with disciplines will always react accordingly and not let carried away. You can as well play games with the soundless features and become an addict. So there is no essence of pointing sound effects to be responsible of individuals gambling irresponsibly.
