Well Germany has the same problem as France, they are lacking a real force inside the paint. Sure we have some guys but missing Mo Wagner (injury), Hartenstein (injury and not really playing national team anyway) and also Maxi Kleber (also injury but not playing for the team anymore after his dispute with Schröder over commitment). If we had at least 1 or 2 guys of them I would say we are close to Serbia, but without them it's gonna be a big hill to climb if we want to reach the medal ranks.
Doncic is back playing, Giannis is back in training as well and Lauri Markannen is dominating. Man we will see some great players in this one!!
Every team has strengths and weaknesses; it's a living organism that can't be the same every time, and honestly, this is a part of basketball's beauty. It's a sport where teams missing or having even one player can make a huge difference to them. Especially players of such calibre and value. So yes, Germany is lacking players in the paint, but it's a team that can cover it, while France can't. However, this is my personal opinion, and it might end the other way around.
And yes, I'm sure that we will see great games and plays from exceptional players. Like you, I'm anticipating the tournament to start!
