Satoshi is a hero, he created a masterpiece and bowed out, a true example of decentralization. With his selfless action nobody can claim ownership of Bitcoin. The power of ownership totally rests in the hands of the holders, that is if they are using none custodial wallets to access their Bitcoin.

Anyone can actually claim ownership of Bitcoin, the owner is unknown; they only need to sign a message from the known Satoshi address that's all. Craig Wright said the private keys to the Satoshi wallet is lost.

There's has been similar digit failed currency projects before Satoshi launched Bitcoin, he took several ideas from those failed projects, he also make reference to some of them in Bitcoin white paper.
