I couldn't have said it better mate as it's definitely where the bundesliga is heading back to in it's former self. Dortmund tried many times but couldn't succeed and then Leverkusen under Xavi Alonso's first season took Bayern Munich by surprise and it all ended there....
It was Leverkusen that ended Bayern long line of winning Bundesliga title every season. For this season, the title remains with Bayern Munich, Leverkusen are still figuring ways of returning to the competition,...
Bayer Leverkusen era has come to an end, it was a short lived one, one season wonder just like when Leicester won the Premier League though they did theirs in style but it wasn’t to be a regular thing. The coach who did that left the important key players left and there’s been no better replacement. I feel they’re gonna struggle to be in the title race. Erik Ten Hag when things are tough don’t always do well I’m yet to see how he’ll perform with this Leverkusen side. Bayern are set to dominate the league once more.
I get what you’re saying, but I wouldn’t rush to call Leverkusen a “one season wonder” just yet. Sure, the Leicester comparison makes sense on the surface — an underdog story that shocked everyone — but the situations are a bit different. Leicester didn’t have the structure, financial power, or squad depth to sustain success. Leverkusen, on the other hand, still have a solid sporting project, even if they’ve lost some key figures.

Xabi Alonso leaving is the biggest hit, no doubt. A manager like him is tough to replace, and that could expose weaknesses we didn’t see last season. If Ten Hag really is the man, then it’ll come down to whether he can keep the team cohesive and motivated when pressure mounts — and history shows he can be hit-or-miss in that area.
Bayern probably reclaims dominance, but Leverkusen won’t vanish like Leicester did after their fairy tale. At worst, they’ll still be a Champions League regular.
