Gambling is not an event that a gambler must guarantee himself to win but it is an event of prediction. You only predict to win and in the process you might lose or win. Though there is an anxiety to win for new gamblers and most time it is when they win in their first games and you will see them gambling every day to win big. Even though they are at the losing side they believed that they will win big one day. That is the believe of all gamblers and not only the new gamblers.
The basic concept of gambling is uncertainty - you are not guaranteed to win and you are not guaranteed to lose, meaning you have a chance of getting either one when you bet on something. Every gambler's hope is a win - certainly bigger than what they bet, but in reality big wins are so elusive that it's not right to gamble without considering any risks.

Gambling has obvious risks - you will lose money, but there is always hope and that is where a gambler's curiosity lies and they will try to win it. Losing and winning are two things that are part of the game - so it's not the gambling platform's fault if you lose, even if you go bankrupt completely.
