Trading perpetual and future are different. Exchanges are calling all of them future market which can be confusing.

I wouldn't want to stress too much about this but what I can only say is that since they're both predicting the future price, it's literally mean that they're both future market traders while the perspective of their trading differs in the category of timing or durations.
This is just like when we say short term investors with the emotions or excitements to sell when the price is high or falling out of Fomo at a specific time are regarded as traders while those holding timelessly with a long time plans are the core investors. But in nutshell, they're both on the category of investors.
