Being an irresponsible gambler is not by maturity it is by experience. One is likely to become an irresponsible gambler if they just started gambling than one who has already being gambling for a long time and has seen the ins and outs of it.
I don't totally agree with that. I know it's true that when you are experienced, you tend to know more things, but when it comes to being irresponsible, especially in gambling, it's basically the nature of a person that makes them act that way, and it barely has much to do with experience. That's why I think a person who has been gambling for a long time can still be more irresponsible than someone who just started gambling if they have an irresponsible nature by birth or maybe because they were spoiled early on in life.
The reason why people become irresponsible with their gambling activities is that they don't have enough patience, and that's why when they start losing, their emotions start to build, and after one point, they can't hold it anymore, so they decide to go all-in, or at least increase their bets so that they either get everything back with some profit, or lose it all, and most of the time, they lose it all.
So, the moral of the story is that irresponsibility is a natural thing, in most cases.
