It's painful and embarrassing for Nigeria to be eliminated from the group stage, so we just have to accept the defeat. If not, I don't think their efforts in this match matter because we already knew that Nigeria was disqualified since we lost the two matches against Senegal and Sudan. Even if they win 10-0 in this match, it wouldn't add anything.
I don't always get the Idea behind still allowing players to play games that have no meaning to the tournament. Probably if the two teams or one team had a chance of progressing then that's when the game should go ahead but when both teams are eliminated from the tournament, don't we think it's a waste of resources to continue with the game. They're going to get low turnout of spectators and viewership which takes alot out of the budget to organized the match. If I were the players, I won't bother giving my best and I believe that's what the opponents did here as I don't believe the boys could play this well then lost both previous legs of the competition.
