They will be competing against teams that are aware of the Champions League and players who value it. The players understand how important the Champions League is. It may be a tournament that will impact their future. That's why they're working tirelessly to play well. This is the main factor that gives every team the potential to surprise.
It is true that all teams that qualify for the Champions League have the potential to cause an upset, but the reality is that every Champions League season is dominated by clubs from the top five European leagues: the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga, and Ligue 1. It is rare to see clubs from outside these leagues perform impressively in the Champions League. At best, they only reach the round of 16 and are eliminated. And usually, the surprises come from clubs in the Portuguese league or the Eredivisie. The rest are just passing through.
And one underdog team that has caught my attention is Galatasaray; they have built a stronger team compared to last season. We rarely see surprises coming from the Turkish Super League, and hopefully Galatasaray can create one.
