I recently encountered an ad from youtube about a gambling platform and it featured a very popular celebrity in my country. It was short but a good amount of time was dedicated at the end warning gamblers that gambling will not be the solution to their financial problems and it will not improve their economic status. It got my nod of approval because it really is that easy. But some governments still think that this kind of warning is not enough for gamblers to stay responsible. But don’t you think that a constant reminder can wake someone up from delusion? What do you think? Is this enough or should there be more ways to promote responsible gambling?
I believe a warning at the end of the advertisement should be abnoughnfor anyone who has enough common sense to read/listen to it. It reminds me the warning signs on the cigarette boxes about illnesses pretty much every smoker is aware about the consequences of their habit, and they don't have anyone to blame about those consequences but themselves, if the decide to smoke in the long term.
In the end, it is a matter of freedom, to be able what one wishes to do, being aware of what could happen and being responsible enough to accept whatever comes in our way, if someone ignores those warnings and are not able to take losses in a good manner, then it is better to quit gambling and spend time in activities which do not involve financial risk whatsoever.
