Let me explain the thread title. I know a lot of us here would say we should be gambling for fun, but in reality most people don’t gamble just for fun, they do it mainly for profit. Even if they lose, they keep coming back because they hope to eventually become profitable in gambling.

But what if people stop aiming for profit and gamble only for fun, what do you think would be the impact on the gambling industry?

Will we still see it growing or will the industry shrink?
No company can successfully run without a source of income or revenue, be it gambling or any other company. If someone is playing for fun there is still a chance that the industry will survive and I think many casinos and online gambling platforms today depend on players looking for profit. If someone no longer gambles for profit, it is likely that the gambling platform will experience a decrease in revenue, which could affect or exacerbation of its business or even bankruptcy.
if gamblers actually gambled for fun, that would mean less revenue for the casinos, because, that means gamblers would spend less money gambling but that doesnt mean in anyway they still wouldn't be making their usual profits, they would, just that the profit wouldn't be as much as when gamblers gamble for profit.
Gambler who's gambling for entertainment can also become addict to gamble if they do not gamble responsible. It's not about entertainment or about gamble to make profits from it, but about how responsible you chose to gamble. Entertainment can also leads to addiction that is why it's very important that a gambler should spend less in gamble because spending less amount for gambling is a sign that you are risking what you can afford to lose. Gamble industries will always make a lot of money through their casinos because not all gamblers can gamble for entertainment, the more the gamblers increase the more money casino owners make.
