A really tough sport for you, I believe this is one of the cases where a gameweek 2 wildcard is excusable, Alex Moreno won’t suit up for Aston Villa anymore even if there any chances of him playing with Konsa’s suspension, he’s now signed a 2 year deal with Girona.

If he used the free transfer and replaced Frimpong using (-4) and if Moreno's price drops in the near future, then the WC is justified (Konsa also has a red card this week). But more importantly (you forgot to mention) the WC will cancel the negative points (-4) ... but I don't remember for sure if activating the chip will return the free transfer.
I don’t remember vividly as well, but I’m certain that the -4 point would be cancelled, I think they’ll not retain the free transfer regardless, but if they had free transfers carried over into that week, they’ll retain those transfers.
