For a long time, we have already been using water to generate electricity, and we also use solar power for electricity generation. Now we have cars that depend on water, specifically hydro cars.
We also have electric cars that need to be charged to function, and a time is coming when there will be solar cars. As the world continues to innovate, there will be new developments that will not depend on gas and crude oil, which will definitely affect the value of gas and crude. That is why I pity countries that solely depend on oil and gas as a source of revenue because a time is coming when the value of crude and gas won't be what it is today.
But in all of this you mentioned, will will oil and gas go into extinction, we have had and even seen electric cars but has there been any modifications that surpass that surpass those cars that depend on gas for their functions or running, this statement of gas and crude oil being an old story has been here for a very long time although am not doubting that it may not be possible but am just saying that it is taking ages, I would love a situation where there will be zero emissions for a good air we breath and the ozone layer depletion that the world has been facing, I know that the world is advancing in technology but it seems that alternative energy are not durable despite being environmental friendly, scientist has not come up with ideas that can make them durable may be that's the reason why people are still making use of those ones that depend on gas and another thing is cars that depends on alternative energy may not be able to cover some certain distance, we are waiting for more technology advancement to this effect.
I agree that it may just be a little while longer for solar powered and electric powered and even air powered devices and appliances to take over the gas and crude oil industry because there is so much evolution ongoing right now before our eyes both with the digital cryptocurrency and AI advancements.
Businesses these days do not even need to go through banks because of the ease of using bitcoin or cryptocurrency to transact across borders with much privacy and cheaper fees than regular commercial banks would and this means that the changes already speculated may have already taken root as tools to use with a difference for those who understand how much they stand to profit from being up to date and changing with how the times demand long before the governments even legalize it.
So, I very much agree to this post talking about gas and crude oil being a thing of the past, because from history also, there was combustion and steam powered engines which was replaced by the gas and crude oil engines we have so much modified to suit our lifestyle.
