WO thread is a huge thread but I see now slow downs on that thread. I believe you might have low ram on your system. I'm having around 24 GB ram in my system and it works flawlessly for me. I suggest you to use Linux as it's way faster and doesn't require much resources.
That's a pretty big update for non technical person (assuming OP is) for just a simple problem OP is facing.
To OP, if you think your device is not crashing, or maybe to some extent, due to your device specs when browsing WO thread, make sure or try to close other tabs, apps, and background apps (unnecessary) on your PC. It might help to lessen the burden your device's experiencing. 😅
