Have you ever made a mistake that resulted in the total or partial loss of your crypto assets?
Personally, like many people at the time, I stored my secret key in a file on my PC... which I accidentally deleted. I lost everything.  Grin Grin

Have you had other similar experiences?

It would be nice to share our experiences to prevent others from falling into the same traps.  Wink

I've made alot of mistakes in crypto which resulted in me losing my money, sometimes the money is big, other times the money is small.
One mistake I made which I will never forget, though it didn't lose much, but I felt bad because I really messed up, was deposit some small amount of ethereum to one of my ethereum wallet address that has been hacked.

What happened was that, first, I knew the wallet has been hacked and I stopped using it for several month, almost a year, and that day, I decided to check the wallet and I saw there is a token deposited to it that was worth over $1000, I didn't know the token was fake with a fake value, I decided to try to withdraw the token to another wallet, so I needed to have some ether in the wallet for gas, so I deposited 0.005 ether worth over $20 to the wallet and immediately the ethereum landed, all of it was withdrawn to another unknown address which I believe belonged to the hacker, the money lost wasn't much but it was really painful.
