I don't think people will discourage you from investing in bitcoin because they have seen the growth of bitcoin so far. They have seen the price of Bitcoin from when it started to when a whole 10,000 btc were sold just because of 2 pizzas to the current price of Bitcoin @ $115,574. This value currently times 10,000 is $1,155,740,000. So who is that person that will discourage you brother? 

They can discourage you when you are investing in altcoins and shitcoins not Bitcoin.
