Rivers State is always known for political crisis but what has happened in Rivers State for the past five months is worst than a military coup. An elected president suspended an elected governor and the assembly members
This is not just happening in Nigeria, but it's a shame that it continues to happen.
As bad as anyone could term Buhari's administration, the man didn't allow such nonsense to happen in his watch. We last witnessed similar things during the Obasanjo regime and, of course, the Jonathan regime. These guys are only calling themselves democrats, but in reality, they are authoritarians, but, for what people might say, their actions match in between, which is gross.
Nigeria practices democracy, and as a duly elected governor of the state, Siminalayi Fubara and the House of Assembly members shouldn't have been ridiculed like that. The worst is for the court to settle their grievances. As for Mr President, as an elder statesman, he should have prevailed over Wike. But "birds of the same feather always flock together."
